Fishing is great here in the Smokies! We received a good amount of rain last week that has revitalized our local rivers and brought with it a small cold front to help matters even more!

GSMNP- Fishing in the park has been great after the rain. Little River is high enough and cool enough to be a high volume fish producer again and Greenbriar and the West Prong of the Little Pigeon are both fishing exceptionally well also with high volumes of fish hitting lots of dry flies. For size Little River has been producing the best sized fish but they're extra spooky still. We're catching fish on yellow dry flies in sizes 10-16 and we've began to downsize our nymphs some going to like a 14-18.

Gatlinburg- Go to the park! Gatlinburg waters have not been stocked now for over a month. The handful of trout remaining will be in the deepest parts of the deepest pools and especially hard to get to. Some smallmouth bass have moved into the lower stretch along the Spur but we haven't heard reports of any sizable fish yet.

Come see us if you have any questions and tight lines!
