THE WARMING WINTER

Some of the best fishing in the Smokies can be done this time of the year when we get a warm spell. Little River is at 54 degrees and at an excellent level. We would highly recommend fishing some large stonefly patterns or small nymphs. Quite a few nice browns have already been pulled out. Also, its only supposed to get nicer.

If you are a dry fly fanatic, would highly recommend a Quill Gordon or a Blue Wing Olive. Look for the warmest part of the day to see those hatches.

In the town of Gatlinburg they are stocking again , so you can not fish on Thursdays but every other day is fair game. The fishing has actually been pretty productive the last couple of days.
